P0302 code
I have a 2005 F150 XLT with the 5.4L engine. This truck only has 19000 miles on it because I only drive it once or twice a week, usually short trips because I have a work vehicle. This past week, service light came on, and I noticed the intermittently when starting the vehicle it would take longer to crank than normal from being cold.maybe 3 seconds instead of just 1 second). That only happened a few times but coincided with the SES light coming on. Since then no weird starting at all, just took it on a 200 mile trip and it ran great, no problems at all. SES still is on though. I stopped by auto parts store and they pulled code p0302, cylinder 2 misfired detected. I am wondering if I should take this to the dealer or if it was a fluke, bad gas, etc.. I am thinking about having the code reset to see if it comes back. My truck is out of warranty (4 years old) even though I only have 19000 on it! Any advice would be appreciated.
