ABS and brake problem - need help !
Hi everyone,
Its been a long time since I have been on this board, finally got back into ford's !
I do have an issue.. I have a 2004 freestar, I now I am due for break pads but I had the following symptoms since winter :
1-ABS would fail periodically, sometimes would work for half a mile then go and the abs wold lite up.
2-on slippery conditions when leaving the abs would go nuts and engage to ealisy then would shut down, abs light would go on, no more abs
3-braking feels different, as if i have a loss of power brake
4-when i am stopped and press the brake pedal i get a noise from the front, its difficult to describe, it makes it as i press gently the pedal, as if its a caliper that is working weirdly
I am wondering if its possible I only have a bad caliper that is making the abs go nuts.. any ideas ?
