Auto trans swaps
Hi gang, I have a 92 f150 300 cid 6 with a bad trans, I have picked up a 90 with 302 cid and bad motor, are the trans missions interchangeable?. They appear to have different pans, but I know that may just be decieving and I know that the 6 and the v8 have the same bell housing bolt patterns, but as electronics go they can change alot between years, as the 90 has a speedo drive gear and the 92 does not, I ran into this on a four to five speed swap and was able to change the tail shaft to make it work, but as theses transmissions appear to be 1 piece that won't work this time. help?? macs
