I had oil Pouring out from under the HPOP, so I changed it. Now it won't fire. A mechanic told me It was probly the Ipr. should there be oil on the IPR? Does anybody have any information on the Ipr? Is there a oring on the nut at the end of the IPR? The truck will fire on either (I removed the air heater) but won't fire on fuel Any Sugestions?
Did you make sure the HPOP is full of oil? Take the plug off the top of the HPOP and make sure the oil level is no more the 3/4" from the top. Fill it with oil if it is not to level.
Takes a lot of cranking to get the air out. DO NOT use either in these engines.
Ditto

Double ditto. Also make sure that your batteries are up to par. All the excess cranking and you can drop them down quick. You need 10.5 volts for the IDM to fore the injectors.
Make sure the nut on the IPR is tight, be careful though as it is a weak nut. Was the IPR already on the new pump or did you swap it out from your old one? There is a write up somewhere on putting new o rings in the IPR, but I cant find it right now. If I find it I'll post it.
I filled the HPOP full of oil, and kept on adding till it was full. I cranked it for about 1/2 an hour 3 days in a row. Took about 6 years off my battery chargers life. Ha ha. When any one of the eight plugs off the head oil barly seeps out while turning over.
