I pulled codes on my 89 F350 to try and diagnose my lack of power. I did plug wires, cap and rotor to try and remedy the problem and it made a good bit of difference, but it still feels like i=s either running rich or missfiring. I got codes 33 and 129. What do these mean? I think 33 has something to do with the EGR, but I dont know what to do to solve these issues. thanks
33 is EGR valve opening not detected. Check the vacuum lines first, then test the valve to see if it moves with vacuum and that the output of the position sensor changes as expected. If all that checks out the EVR may be the problem, it's the solenoid over by the coil that controls vacuum to the valve.
