Hey i got a the Equus code reader. I get codes 33 C and 34 C. Both are saying the EGR is not closing properly/the circuit is not working. What steps do I need to take to fix this?
I did some pressure tests and the egr valve passed, however when I did the pressure test running, there was no change in the way engine ran, the valve did move as well, would this indicate a blocked line?
Where is the EVR located? Is that doohicky on top of the EGR?
I ended up replacing the EGR valve anyways since It's probably the original, and I had an Auto Zone gift card. While it helped, I still have some surging from time to time during idle.

Did some vacuum testing and I found that I have only 1.37 in Hg (18.5 inches of water) on the EGR side, and 0 on the vacuum side. So, I have a vacuum leak somewhere. Where do I start looking?
The first place I would look is the vacuum reservoir. Notorius for rusting ot on the bottom. Then I would check the hard lines going to the egr, around the back of the intake .
Well, the coffee can thing was ok, no rust to be found, when I pulled the lines off there was an air noise, so it was hold vacuum. The lines are ok, no bad hoses, all hold pressure ok, would it be possible the vacuum thing on the intake manifold lines are mis-matched? But now would that cause issues....
