PO of my truck but a group 34 side post in my truck. the battery has gone bad. so Im thinking it time to update. should I go back to a group 65 also thinking about a group 31T-5 1100CCA. what do you all think.
I absolutely love interstate batteries. My demo derby car had an interstate on it when I got it, and the batt had been sitting the sun and other elements so long the green top is now white, but after putting it on a charger for all night, it held a charge and was able to turn over a motor so hot it ultimately set fire to the oil that was dripping out of the valve covers.
all the batteries are make by Johnson controls (interstate, costco, walmart, autozone, autolite, duralast, etc.)
That's funny. Why do some batteries seem to out last other brands? We are so brand loyal and never stop to think that there might be a common supplier.

That is a good question. Since all batteries can fail though, I look for the battery with the best warantee.
Every battery has the manufacturer's code number on the battery and is the only sure way of identifying the manufacturer. MSDS can provide info.
Also, every private label has different specs than the others, even when they are from the same manufacturer.
my mistake, I forgot about exide, but I did not know that douglas and everstart made their own batteries. In fact, Im quite sure that everstart in made by johnson controls as well. I have one in my truck now. IT says made by johnson controls.

I think you're right. I think EverStart is Wal-Mart's own private label battery? I don't recall now. Way toooo many private labels! But Exide is its own company, correct.
