i have a 99 F-250 wanted to remove the mirrors so can paint them. but i get the 3 nuts off and there is one left that i cant figure how to get off. wondering how you get to it or what ever thanks.
I guess you removed the black plastic trim piece from the inside of the door panel to get to where you are now? Did you pull on that piece of tape looking stuff to expose the hole over the other nut?
yeh i got the one behind there but there is another one below that i can see threw a littl slot but un able to get to it. unless thats for something dont know think so same as others nuts. there 3 or 4 nuts that hold it on
I don't remember how many nuts hold the thing on, but there should be a round hole in the door in front of each nut to allow you to stick a socket and extension in there for removal from what I remember.
Is the tape covering up the other hole also? It's been a while so I don't remember.
Edit: There are rubber plugs covering 2 of the nuts. Did you pull the rubber plugs out of the holes to access the nuts? Is your issue with the forward nuts or the rearward ones? Have a picture you can share?
