What a Pleasure

That right! This new truck is such a pleasure to drive and do some heavy hauling. It replaced my '79 1 ton dump and this new one sure came a long way in 30 years.

Last weekend I regraded my stone driveway and this truck hauled 3.5 - 4 ton loads all day long and it didn't phase it a bit. It handles the heavy weight with ease and drives almost identical as when empty.

The V10 doesn't even know the difference between loaded and unloaded. It pulls just as strong either way; and the brakes are awesome. I don't know if the pickups have the same design but the chassis cab has hydro boost brakes and the truck stops just as well loaded as unloaded. The six speed and 4.30 gear work great together. I don't have to really use low gear unless I want to move very slowly or if on a very steep hill.

I haven't towed anything with it yet, but I'm sure I will be just as impressed. I got about 8 mpg doing the hauling with 1300 miles on the truck.

I really like this truck. I'm glad I got the Ford and not the Dodge.

I just wanted to report the good news. Thanks for listening.

Yeah, the new truck is light years ahead of previous models. It's still Ford tough but rides Cadillac smooth.

I'm with you on the greatness of these trucks. I use mine as a tow rig, lots of miles with towing up to the max rating of my F250. The stopping and overall stability surprise me regularly.

Yes they are great! I have owned all of the big three and by far the Ford is king. Is is purpose designed with a bit of refinement thrown in. I am waiting for the coffer maker to be installed though.

The 10 will actually get better as it seats in with some usage.
