the main reason i am pulling them is to fix the plug under the cover. what do i need to get to fix this problem. is there any thing else i should do while they are off?
Do the .50 mod while your in there, retorque all your injector hold downs and rockers, check for any chaeffing and also think about replacing your Glow plugs if they have alot of age on them.
Sounds like someone else may have been under there.
The zip ties should work fine if you don't get any leaks, there on the high side of heads which helps.
Is she running better? I hope so.
I ran the zip tie through the wires to keep it from slipping off when tightened. Its all inside the cover, so there wont be any leaks.
She is running fine now, gonna put a fuel pump in and take her to the dealer for a scan. Just for piece of mind.

Glad she's runnin' good.
Don't let them sell you any parts or services without checking here first, but I'm sure you know that.
Get a list of the codes before they clear them. I'm not sure how it works but see if they will let you take it for a drive after they clear the codes and then re-scan for the same dime. Would be nice to see what codes come back.

Good advice. I will tell them to scan it and let me know what comes up. I dont want a wrench near it...
