Poor Acceleration

There was a loud noise from under the hood and my acceleration went to less than 2000rpm while in gear. I noticed that there was a new quarter sized hold in the EGR valve and a vacum hose not directly connected to the valve had busted. I replaced the hose and the EGR valve and the noise is gone but the escape will not accelerate above 2000rpm when in gear. Can anyone help?
