Nice Work Truck,

Thank you for the input.

I noticed you say that your loads are 22k+ at times. I tow below 20k and notice that downhills, my tow/haul will keep me at a certain speed once it downshifts. My truck will however, begin to freewheel and gain momentum before the tow/haul mode activates. Does your turbo braking feature activate as soon as you release the throttle or do you have to apply tap the brake to engage it ALONG with the tow/haul?
Was there a significant noticeable difference with and without the turbo braking, towing the same load?
Thanks
Joe

Increase 100hp over stock? Higher psi out of the fuel pump?

Hfcm

HFCM: Horizontal Fuel Conditioning Module- AKA fuel pump - integrated into a fuel filter housing. (The one down on the driver's side framerail.) Will-04-Ex first gave me the idea. He added a second stock HFCM in line with the original on his excursion. Much of what he did applies to the pickups as well. I will be posting a thread with pics and install info, if anyone's interested. The stock fuel pump is capable of 100psi, but at that pressure it has almost no volume, and at the stock regulation settings, wide open throttle results in very low fuel press, and opens up the injectors to the possibility of starvation, ect.
The second pump, when installed inline hypothetically doubles the volume, while maintaining good pressures, and you've now got double the filtration as well. The reason i went with a second stocker over an A.M. system was it's affordability, (around $300 including brand new Ford pump w/ filter, fuel hoses, connectors and wiring.) There are other benefits as well, i'll go over those in the writeup. Cheers,
Caleb

You get a little braking but not much before it downshifts but when it does in the tow/haul it makes a big difference.

Im studded and fire riged, I run the extreme drag race/sled pull tune. I can hide a small SUV in the smoke LOL And it makes over 830 tq at the rear wheels. Drivability is really decent, couldnt be happier

I have run Eric's X-Street, Street, and Tow Agressive. I am ran the X-Street Daily from last October thru April this year. Nice power and very little smoke. I obtained my best highway mileage with this tune.(empty)
The tow aggressive has good shifting, but I think for an 8k load I would like a bit more power. I got my best city mileage with this tune( empty )
I am currently running the regular street tune, this is how Ford should have programmed them from the factory! Very good driveability. Little to no smoke on all my tunes.

I know that Joe Blow is the OP, but I thank everybody for their input as I too am wondering which tunes I should get when I get the SCTx3 from Innovative in the coming weeks.

Also, has anyone here run the FICM tuning from either Innovative or PHP? Just thought I'd ask.
