im looking to put a 2 inch leveling kit on my truck.07psd fx4. i was wondering if i need to just get the front spacers or the kit that does all around the truck? lookin for some input.thanx
I went with the tuff country kit. I know some guys frown on tuff country but I have had no problems with it. I went with the tuff country kit because it also came with 1 1/2" add a leafs for the rear along with 2 1/2" spacers for the front and shocks.
I like the factory rake so figured this would give me the look I wanted. I bought it through www.suspensionconnection.com I had to wait about 2 1/2 weeks for it because it was on back order but it was worth it.
I installed it myself in my back yard in about 3 hours and for right around $350 with shocks it gave me the look I wanted and I was able to fit 35's. It rubbed the plastic tire well a little on the drivers side at a full left turn but that was easily fixed with a zip tie. I have taken it off road and had no other rubbing issues.
I put the RDC 2.25 inch springs on the front and f350 blocks on the rear. Also upgraded to Bilstein 5100 series shocks on at all four corners-front shocks came with the springs. Glad I did the shocks all around; the back shocks were the blistein OEM replacements and were shot after 30k miles, which surprised me a little. Drives great now...not like my other car, but better than stock. I didn't check out your ride other what you said (7 PSD FX4)...is it a Crew cab? Short bed? just curious...
Seeing as you have the 350 you most likely only want to level the front with the rear.
If it is low in the front as i would expect I would look into the ready lift. Check out readylift.com they make a high quality kit and guarantee stock ride quality.
