Its pretty simple, at least I thought. I am going to replace the cowl vent seal, windshield seal and the rear window seal. I have all the seals but lost all the instructions. I have also read different opinions on how to go about it. What is the best way to do this.
I know there are threads concerning this but I tried the search function and nothing even came up about windshields....thanks
Well, some guys seem to think it's a real pain. But when I did it it was easy. I just removed the top cover off the vent frame and put the seal on. It went on in a jiffy. Then I put the cover back on.
Once you get it off, it's just a matter of putting weatherstrip adhesive on th eright places on the indent/cowl, and then the rubber. Press into place!
For the front and rear window/seal install. If you can't find it here, I've seen it on either "classic trucks" or "custom classic trucks" web sites. Other vehciles use the same methods as Ford installations (string). Many use a sealant on the exterior side. chuck
