The only set of headers I could find for my truck (86 F150 4X4 with a 351M/400 swapped in with a linkage clutch system also swapped) have 1.5" primaries and a 2.5" collector. This seems a little small to me. I was looking for something around 1.625/3".
Those almost sound like 351W headers I think you need 1 5/8 to cover the exhaust port on a 351M/400. Not positive on that but I don't think you engine will out flow the headers listed either, most people don't need three inch collectors and the primary size is only 1/8 smaller than what is normally used on these engines. You would need a pretty hot motor to want to run 3" exhaust and you don't need 3" collectors unless you want 3" pipe. What set of headers are you looking at?

I don't tow anything at all.
That is a very mild combo. Smaller headers are what you would want.
