I thought I'd only be replacing the floor on my '66 F100, but when I cut out the old floor, I found the cab mount / floor support had more rust in it than I had bargained for.
I'm debating whether or not to weld in a few patches in the original one, or to cut it out with an air chisel and weld in a new one (BOTP price is only $26.95).
I figure I'll have to remove the cab mount bushing, slightly jack the cab up off the frame-mount, chisel out old cab mount, then weld in new.
BOTP didn't show it in their catalog...but on line show the following picture...and $21.95 price for p/n CB0085.

This seems to be the floor-stiffener piece (but is listed as cab mount)...but I also need the vertical section that is in the wheel well area (and has inspection plate).
(isn't BOTP a sponsor / supporter of FTE?).
LMC shows more the full piece that I'm looking for, for $29.95.
I'll post a picture (in a few minutes...once I figure out how) of what my existing rusted one looks like -- the real question is should I patch it or replace it. Opinions?
My recommendation would be to follow Garbz' advice and spend the few bucks extra and buy the DC parts. Odds are good that it will save you time, money and frustration in the long run.
