help with new tires please!!
I wanted to get some input from some of yall about what kind of new tires i should get. My 2006 F-250 is stock. I did replace the factory tires with Nitto All Terrian Terra Grapplers--(295-70-17inch) I noticed my gas mileage fell off a little going up 3 sizes in tires. I have a 25 mile commute to work so i dont want anything real aggressive in tread pattern, just something that looks half way decent and will hold up for a while. My current tires have about 40k on them. I am trying to stay in the 700 dollar price range..... Any Suggestions??????

That is an odd tire size. I would suggest going down to a 285/70/R17 to save money on the hard to find tires and fuel mileage. As for types of tires I like Pirelli Scorpion ATR, BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO, or Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar. All will set you back somewhere in the 8-900 range. To get a set under 7 in that size you will have to shop around quite a bit. Good luck.

I posted the same Q, about a month ago. issues like tires are some love this type, some love that type. I went with the cooper. my used truck had coopers on it, and the rear ones were shot. so I matched the ones on the front. did'nt notice any fuel diffrence.
