C-6 AOD?

I have heard some second hand info that you can somehow use the parts out of an E4OD in a C-6 to make it overdrive. I don't know if this guy is talking about all 4 gears, or just the 4th gear in place of the 3rd gear....or if I need to find out what he is smoking. Anyone ever heard of this? Overdrive would be nice behind a 460.

That's not true. You can use the wide ratio planetaries for first and second gear but your 3rd gear will still be only 1:1 ratio. If your running a big-block the only Ford overdrive that bolts up is the E4OD. The AOD was only installed behind small-blocks and will not take the torque of a big-block unless modified. Deen
