300 wont start

Ok guys a friend off mine bought a pretty bad looking old 9O f150. The engine cranks but will not start. Were thinking its an ignition issue. Do these have an ignition module somewhere. Thinking its bad. Or the coil is bad. Thoughts an input guys. Thanks for any help. Oh BTW can the module an coil be tested to see if there bad.? Thanks again.

the first thing i would do is check for spark. if no spark i would first check for power at the coil.if you have power there then i would remove the cap and turn it over and make sure that the rotor is spinning because they are know to shear the pin off. if it spins then if look on the distributor itself there is a plug that plugs into the ignition control module which is plugged into the distributor and is held on by two 7/32 bolts. you can take it to discount auto parts and they can test it to see if its good. if not that then change your coil.
