My 04 F350 has 89K; getting an intermittent humming noise from the engine usually at idle or in gear at idle. 2nd; when starting from a dead stop turning left or right I'm getting a grinding noise/vibration in the rear axle. I changed the fluid and put the additive in but no change. Any help appreciated.
Tell us what engine you have, as well as SRW or DRW truck. Do you have a limited slip rear end, or the regular one? What does the humming noise sound like?
ur calipers or E-brake assembly might be sticking...
humming noise might be a bearing going south.. like a clutch fan or other belt assembly type bearing...have u pulled the serp. belt off and checked the various assemblies for signs of ruff/worn bearings ???
things like the tensioner/power steering/water pump...
