sway bar

i have a 88 f250 4x4.i need to replace the rear sway bar. i am not sure what rear end i have. on the tag it says 55 102 7k05. also i looked at summit racing and they show about a dozen different kinds. if anyone has replaced their sway bar any help appreciated so i can get the right one.thanks

are you replaceing, or rebuilding? advance auto has sway bar bushings, and link kits in stock. take your rear axel weight off the door, and that is the kits you need. only 2 axels that year, sterling, axel flat with drum, dana, axel goes through drum

I don't think the Dana 60 was available in '88. Your truck will have a Sterling 10.25" full-floater (most likely) or a Sterling 10.25" semi-floater (if it has a 302). The full-floater has a huge *** hub that sticks out past the wheel.

sway bar

thanks for the help.the reason i am replacing the sway bar is the holes on the end are wollerd out pretty bad

they usually don't do that, are you sure the rubber bushings that come with the link kit aren't gone? kinda look like the rubbers that go on the shocks. 1 on each side, link goes through, nut on top

i took it apart and the holes are egg shaped,not much metal left on the ends.
