Carb. adapters
The dude I bought the truck off of put a carburator on it that is mounted facing 90 degrees the wrong way in relation to the throttle linkage. Is this something I can fix with an adapter or is it easier to just fabricate a new linkage piece that will turn the throttle cable to make a 90 degree bend. I really do not want to buy another carb. seeing as this one is brand new. Or...would switching to a cable set up better? Any help would be cool.

Most of the time (Adapters don't work ) but some times they do !
I think since you already have a new carb, and if the truck runs ( Good ) with the carb ,
I would fab up a better linkage ! You may want to look at different linkages , like the
linkage that is set up for ( tunnel rams ), also linkage designed for ( two 4 intakes ) ,
Theres a neat setup for the old intake that the carb sat turned about 2 oclock ! I think
you may be inventive and come up with something that would work real good !
I think that if you take a look at all these different Linkages it may help you ( Build a linkage that will work ! )
