Power Steering Pump Problem?

My truck is an 05 F150 2wd supercrew, when I turn the wheels it feels a slight surge in the steering wheel. With the window down it sounds like something is rubbing. I jacked up the front end and did not feel anything that was loose or see anything that was rubbing. Anyone else have a similar problem?

I've never had the problem, but have you checked the fluid level of your power steering system? It may just be low on fluid. Another thing it could be is a worn serpentine belt. That my be the 'rubbing' sound you hear.

The fluid is fine and there are no leaks. I thought about the belt the other day and then forgot to check it. I will take a look. THanks.
