cup holders

Post up some pictures of your cup holder ideas. Apparently in my 91 reg cab we didnt have the technology.

Im just looking for ideas, I want something functional but dont want it to look tacky just need it to hold a coke can or something.

Subscribing... At this point im in the same boat with my 90 regular cab. 5 speed also hinders me putting anything down in front of the seat. Right now i have some of those annoying plastic jobs that hang in the window slot.

The only thing i have thought about is making a center console that will sit in the middle of my bench seat. That kind of defears the purpose of the bench seat though. I guess Captains chairs and a real center console would be best.

They didn't have this technology in 1993 either, unless I were to count the 1/8" deep indentations on the inside of the glove box. Real useful.

A center console of any kind is a good solution... junkyard item, doesn't necessarily have to be from a F-series truck either. I had one from a Chrysler minivan in my F350 crewcab for a while, but eventually the lid was broken by my son so I took it out a few years ago. Now I'm back to the original method of "travel mug clamped between my thighs while shifting" method.

my 95 with bench seat 5 spd has two bolts (looks kinda like door striker bolts) on the front of the seat near the bottom edge to the drivers side of the center was this for a factory holder???? I have thought of making a holder to hang there like you said nothing special just something to hold a soda or other beverage of choice

I am in the process (slowly) of making something to use as a cupholder for my 89 5spd. I will post pics when I finally get it finished.

My 93 250 5spd has a factory cupholder and storage tray, it attaches to the front of the bench seat. I also use one that just sits on the seat, think I picked it up at wally world for $10.

If it wasn't so hard to post pics on here i gladly would show you mine. I have never been on any forum that makes it so difficult to post pics. I shouldnt have to have a photo bucket account

Just go to ford. they sell the bolts and the holder. Just drill into the seat frame. The bolts are self tapping
