Need a passenger side mirror
I have an 81 F-250 custom and I'm the second owner. The previous owner bashed the original passenger side mirror backing up a trailer and replaced it with one of the more rounded ones out of a junkyard. I've been looking everywhere for the square one thats still on the drivers side but I've been to five junkyards and no one has one and the replacement mirrors from the parts stores are cheap and plastic. Anyone here have one they want to trade or sell? I have alot of parts from the 80 to 86 trucks because I have a parts truck.

Oh sorry about that, thanks for the advice, I just hate the way it looks without matching mirrors and almost all of the junkyards around here scrapped all of their trucks last summer because scrap was through the roof.

Ok thats cool, i didnt see them in the LMC truck magazine and I figured that if they didn't have them nobody would. I appreciate the tip. Im eighteen and its my first vehicle/truck and I plan on holding onto it and I'm going through the whole thing bit by bit when I have the money.

Yeah, the problem is the mirrors changed in 1982 for the rounded head style.
These are year correct for 1982-1991 trucks.
They also fit 1980-1981, but are not year correct for restoration as original.
The rounded head style has been reproduced aftermarket, but the squareish type has not, and are rare now.

Depending on the type of outside mirrors (Ford offered many different types!), you can buy the mirrors heads SEPARATELY without buying the brackets.
I've found dozens of the complete mirrors new, the same things goes for the mirror heads.
Some of the mirror heads may still be available from Ford.
btw: Unrelated, but...from 1973 thru 1979, Ford offered 15 different types of outside mirrors for F100/350's.

ALot of people think that the rounded head mirrors where the only ones and thats pretty much what the aftermarket produces. The mirrors on my parts truck aren't the rounded ones but they are different from mine. I'll try to put a picture of a truck with these mirrors in.
