Anyone know what the towing capacity is on a 2wd 1986 F350 Dually with diesel/auto??? Im thinking about buying a cheap vehicle to tow me and my buddy's woods trucks to the mud hole and hunting areas and found this...
Not real familiar with older body style trucks all my friends have 99 and up trucks. You think I could get by towing and old blazer and my 79 F150 without being bothered by DOT??? or just my 79???
Yay's or Nay's on the truck would be appreciated. Dont want to drive an hour or more to look if its worthless!!! Steal?? or No Deal???
Thanks Guys!!
Oh and P.S: I would definetly be finding a way to get rid of those graphics.
My truck is a 460/C6 SRW. She has plenty of power and I've never had a problem hauling anything. I am currently getting about 8 mpg empty though.
I've never driven a 6.9l but my uncle says he gets about 16-17 mpg empty. He calls his truck a dog but again it'll haul just about anything he puts behind it. If I were to buy another truck of this generation I would definitely go with diesel just for the mileage difference and the fact that I prefer diesels.
good call. anyone know what the exact towing capacity is??? Id like to be able to use a gooseneck trailer and tow 2 mud trucks if possible. or atleast 1 for sure... and I dont want to be bothered by DOT
