Red valve in E4OD pan
YES! It is for blocking the dipstick tube hole on the assembly line. It just is pushed down into the pan when the tube and stuff is installed. Disregard it. I found one in an 87 Crown Vic transmission pan and also was worried. So after looking enough on the net, I found out what it was. (If it floats on water, it could be used for a fishing bobber!! ha ha)
