Need Mechanic
Just brought home an '85 F150 XLT Lariat 4.9l 4spd shortbox. It's always been a Carolina truck, so the body is in excellent cond. Mechanically though, it could use a few things. The Hydraulic clutch won't allow me to go from 2nd to 3rd and reverse is always a grinder. Firewall flex doesn't seem to be an issue, but from everything I've read here, I still am confused as to bleeding the system. I'll need some more help with that. Also, the 1bbl carb sucks and I'll be looking at a new manifold and 4bbl.
Can anyone recommend an independant mechanic in the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area? My wife wants to start driving it and need to get the shifting figured out real soon.
