Clicking noise
I have an 06 F150 scab 5.4 XLT 4x4 i've had about 3 weeks it has 43000 mi. and I hear a clicking noise when the engine is running. Is this normal?

The 5.4L V-8 is "ticky". The '04 and '05 were worse than the later years. It's a combination of noise from the injectors, lifters and possible cam phasers. Some people liken the noise to diesel chatter. I think it sounds more like a room full of secretaries typing on typewriters...

Cool I was just a little worried. It isn't very loud, but I just noticed it and thought I'd ask you guys! It is just a light ticking noise!
