Friend has a 2007 1/2 4x4 and was wondering where the
one zerk(s), or if there are more(not mentioned). Nothing
has been changed to merit new zerk ie: drive shaft.
Are you sure your friends 2007 1/4 4X4 is a Ford? Ford doesn't have a 2007 1/2 model of the F-150...and there are no "zerks" mentioned in the owners or service manual.
"A grease fitting, grease nipple or zerk fitting is a lubrication fitting used in mechanical systems to add grease with a grease gun. The fitting is permanently installed by a threaded connection leaving a nipple connection the grease gun attaches to.
However, in many modern applications they are falling out of use, since it has been determined by wear analysis that each new grease injection usually contains abrasive contamination, and thus service life is reduced compared to many "sealed for life" systems."
OK, now I see what he's asking.
I don't think these trucks have grease fittings for the chassis, ball joints, etc...
