I have great news. I am up for a new company car, and the current standard is the PPV Tahoe. Since there are NONE available, I've been given the option to get an Expedition instead. This is good for me as I am a long time Ford Truck owner and a long time member of this forum.
Anyway, I'm experiencing the same pain that many other are in that I can only search by zip code. I asked my local dealer for help doing a national search but he didn't want to help - kept pushing me to what he had on the lot.
Does anyone know of a tool, or have access to the Ford Search tool, that can help me out? I am looking for a 2008 Expedition 4x2 Limited with Black exterior and black leather. All I need is the location then I can access on the Ford Direct website.
I had this same issue. I ended up typing zip codes up that were further and further away until I found what I wanted. That said any good dealer should be able to do the search for you. I'd suggest trying another one or trying someone higher up at the current dealership.
Thanks for the response. I've searched pretty much all of FL, but my company is willing to transport the vehicle from anywhere in the US. I may try calling another sales person, but I had such a crappy experience last week its very tempting not too. Not only was the salesperson not helpful, but I got 6 (SIX) phone calls from Ford asking me if someone had contacted me, then asking me what it was I was looking for so they could follow up. What an ANNOYING process! They really need to change the link on the website to read something other than "Let us find it for you..."
How specific can you get with the search? Can you narrow it down to Expedition Limited, Black w/ Black Leather, Power lift gate, 2nd row captains? That would be my dream truck, the rest of the options I don't really care about (except NO Funkymister!)
You can try Marc Heitz Ford in Purcel, OK...he shows a DEMO with those things...plus a lot of other stuff. The seats are the Black Accent...I don't believe they are solid black.
The one at New South has a black interior...no second row captains or power liftgate.
