Headlight Compatibility

Hi,

I have a '97 build date 3/96 and the headlights I'm looking to buy are 8/96 and on. Whats the difference? Is it the frame the headlights sit in or the radiator frame???

The way the headlights attach to the header panel are different in the early build truck. You can change the header (just find a 8/96-'03 truck and pull the header from that).

What does the header panel look like? Does it go all the way across the front of the truck?Is it painted to match the truck? Thanks
