Keypad Question

I just bought a 2007 F150 4x4. I have the original code for the keypad. I had to call the original owner to get it cause the dealership I bought it from didn't have it. Is there a way to change or reset the code?

the factory keycode is hardwired. You would have to change out the little module on the back wall to get a new keycode...or maybe the dealer could reprogram it for you.

The only thing you can change are the 2 personnel pin codes...but the original will always work as well

Thanks. My next project is to install remote start. Can I get a remote start from Ford that will still allow me to use the keypad?

Use the keypad to what, start the truck? Your keypad will always work to lock/unlock your doors regardless of what system you install over it. It won't, however, disable an aftermarket remote-start/alarm system. I've got a Clarion (Ungo) remote-start/alarm on my truck; if I use the keypad w/o disabling the alarm the doors unlock and the siren sounds.
