O.T....Update on myself
Hello all,
I have been absent from the site for a while now. I have been trying to get my life straightened out. Nothing major...just a lot of issues going on. I have missed my friends.
I wanted to let my friends know that the kidney transplant is doing great. I just had my one year checkup (the first year is the most danger of rejection). My doctor said me blood levels (they check every two weeks) are: "as steady as a rock!"
The kindney transplant did away with the seriously high blood pressure problem I had. The extremely high BP led to most of the other issues I have had over the years. I was on 3 BP meds, twice daily..before the transplant. Now I am on none. In fact..I have to eat salty stuff to keep it normal now.
My truck needs a timing chain. I am still driving it locally, but not on long trips. It has been on hold since the weather got cold. Now its raining all the time. I need a garage!
I am still teaching at the college. I just finished my 6th school year earlier this week. I love teaching. Now I am off for the summer. Both good and bad I guess. Plenty of time...just not many $$$$
I am finally dating somone special as well. I never could meet the right kind of female. Most would run when they found out about my past health problems. Not this one. She could see past that and see the real me..who I am inside.
Would you believe she loves my old truck? She just slides over close to me when we are out in it (gotta love bench seats!) and smiles.
I think she will be at the Ozarks Run this July with me. Thread about the show:
