Has anyone had problems with putting a remote trailer connection in the bed for a gooseneck hookup? I bought my F350 with the gooseneck in the bed and a remote electrical connecter in the left wheel well and there is no power. The rear connector works fine.
First instinct is a bad connection or no connection at all. Several years ago I wanted to install a remote connecter in the bed for that gooseneck and was told by the local installer of the gooseneck that the ford trucks wiring is such that a secondary or parralel connection would not work. Don't know why though as any parralel connection voltages are common (no loss in voltage).
Any ideas, or has this been brought up in a previous posting I might have overlooked.
You must have a bad connection somewhere. I have a 7-way in bed kit that I bought from etrailer.com that plugs in and Y's behind the 7-way at the rear. It works just fine.
