I just finished replacing the lower intake manifold gasket due to a nasty oil leak and a terrible idle. I notice at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle under load the truck feels like its holding back. If i press the gas a bit more i get a surge of power. This problem is intermittent, but only happens when the engine is warmed up. It did this before i replaced the gasket but it seems like it is better than before. Any ideas on what it might be? how would i go about troubleshooting this? I tested the tps and it had a nice smooth transition throughout the entire range, but the intermittent nature of this problem makes me think that anything that tests good might be bad. Another issue i have is the exhaust header leaks. I orderd an oem gasket but am unsure if it will work with an aftermarket header, do i need a special gasket? Thanks in advance!
