3,5 is the most common , but you can install the 4" with the use of hammer and force-- I would stick to the aftermarket 3,5"

I just put a full 4" turbo back system on my truck this weekend and it fit fine. It was a s/s kit from Dynomax and it fit great.

Just put one on from AFE 3.5''downpipe to 4" exhaust. The dipstick nut on the side of block is the most time consuming. Not alot of room. Definite jump in milage and exhaust sound good. I put a 5" tip on.

I find it hard to believe a jump in mileage is gained from an exhaust.

When I removed the cat off of my 03 S/D (5.4) I jumped a little over 1 MPG. I have driven my 06 now for about 50 miles since I put the exhaust on and my lieometer picked up .9 MPG so far. I don't have any real world mileage numbers yet though.

That's a gasser not a diesel. Most people who claim mpg #s don't have any hard numbers / facts to back it up or are calculating using the lie-o-meter and less than a tank of fuel. 5 tanks of fuel before the mod and 5 tanks after would be enough to show any gain or loss.
