CEL came on Friday while towing my boat home. Autozone scan showed it as code P0261 (fuel circuit low) which could be anything from a short to FICM to injectors, etc. Made an appt with dealer on Monday AM for Wednesday service. CEL disappeared Monday night. Today dealer pulled the codes, tech says he will have to research what to do. Says it could well just need a re-program (I assume a "flash".) Since the CEL went away, I'm hesitant to believe that it is a program issue, but then again, I'm an idiot. What I don't want is a "maybe" fix. I have a long boat pull next week and I don't want any surprises on the road. Should I accept it if he says it justs a flash?
**update**
Picked her up today from the dealership. Tech found codes P0261, P0264, P0267, P0270, P0273, P0276, P0279, P0282, and P0611. Electrical system passed. He found a TSB to recalibrate the control module TSB 08-26-03.
Now maybe I'm stupid, but how does an '03 TSB relate to a truck made in 2006? Any insight is welcome
