mile marker nut conversion kit

Hello everyone I was wondering if the mile marker nut conversion kit is needed when changing from the auto hubs on an 04 F-250 super duty to the mile marker stainless manual ones? I have seen a thread on this site from a few years back and a few others and none of them mentioned using this kit. So I was wondering if it is needed or is it something to get you to spend more money, thanks to anyone who has an answer!

The bearings are one unit, there are no "nuts".

I'm assuming you mean some kind of spindle nut?

I know there is a nut on the axel shaft behind the c-clip when you remove the lockouts so i believe that is the one they want you to change?

There is? I don't remember any such thing on my '01, and it should be the same as the '04.

There might be something that's hex, but it's more of a washer than anything else.

NO, you absolutely DO NOT NEED the conversion kit. This is for the older trucks that had the ratcheting type auto hubs, not the pulse vacuum locks.

Thanks Chris, I am unfamiliar with the earlier front-ends, except for the big-hub early 70's ones
