AC doesn't feel as cold?
I ran my AC the other day for pretty much the first time since it's warmed up this year.
It seemed to take a long time to get cold, and on normal AC it didn't feel as cold as I thought it should. I swear it worked better last year.
What do I need to check?
Also would this truck have R12 in it?

The bad news is you probably have a slight leak in the system. Not surprising given the age of the system. Do a visual check of lines and fittings for oil traces. The good news is that your truck uses R-134a refrigerant (there should be a sticker underhood to confirm this, but '94 was the first year it was used industry wide.) This means that check/recharge at an A/C shop is reasonable compared to R12 (restricted and extremely expensive) or that you can recharge it at home for under $20. Since it blows cool, and you didn't mention the compressor clutch cycling in and out very frequently, it is still mostly charged and getting it cold again should be easy.
