I have a 2003 f350 with a 6.0 litre in it. I have 105k miles on it and have had very little trouble with it. In the last 6 months i have started to have issues under load when the turbo seems to either stall out or loose boost. When it does this i can hear a load huffing noise in the air intake. I assume it is because the turbo is suddenly loosing speed. It does not do it all the time but when it does i have to let off on the throttle and just ease it along. It may take a while and then it will go away. There are no warning lights that come on when this happens. My air, fuel and oil filters are all new. I cannot find any problems with the air to air piping. When this happens the whole truck will shake. I assume there could be a problem with the waste gate maybe.
The other things i am looking at are putting a new exhaust system and intake filter system on to make the truck breath better. I have looked at the got chrome website and just wondering if any body has any good suggestions for exhaust and intake. I looked at the mbrp s6214409 exhaust system and the afe 54-10082. I was also looking at the edge revolution 15002 to add to that so i can monitor the motor better and try to get a little performance out of it. I pull a 40 ft gooseneck trailer and go out west with it atving and need a little more power sometimes. Let me know your suggestions.
Thanks for the help.
