New Injectors

I have been seriously thinking about getting a new set of injectors. I know nothing about them, and was wondering what might be the best kind to go with? Considering my setup.

I am going with a set of Casserly Stage II Single Shots later this week. His injector builds get great reviews and his customer service is amazing. That is the reason I am a dealer for him. I sell others also, but when it comes to my truck, that's what is going in it. These guys will help you decide which ones are best for you.

Well there are some important things to consider. First off, you need to check and determine if your truck has PMR's. That will probably dictate which injectors you look at.

There are bascially three types for our trucks. Stage 1 which are a 160cc AA code injector with a stock nozzle. Should deliver about 50HP more than a stock AD. A stage 2 injector is pretty much the same as a stage 1, but has a larger nozzle. Its an 80% nozzle meaning it flows 80% over a stock nozzle. A stage 3, or sometimes referred as a hybrid injector, will flow about 238cc and uses a 100% nozzle. With the right supporting mods, this should pretty much guarantee you 450+ HP at the rear wheels. Tuning is an important factor no matter what injector you decide on.

Do alot of research, ask alot of questions, and ultimately decide where you want your truck to be and what you use if for.

Hope that helps.

I want to go with Casserly hybrids when the time is right. Tons of reading here on the subject, but one thing is for sure... Ryan Casserly does a real good job of taking care of his customers. Just ask Ron (ronspowerstroke)!

Well, luckily my truck was one of the 2001 models with forged rods. And when it comes to what I want, the more power the better. Injectors are next as long as I don't have anymore tranny problems so I will do a search and look up some info on all of them.

Would a different turbo be needed before injectors??? I wouldn't think the stock turbo is enough for those injectors.

My thoughts exactly. You might also look at replacing your stock turbo and looking into a fuel system as well.

200 CC Hybrids 30% Nozzles from Casserly or Swamps will be what I get when the time comes along with a 38R to spool it. You get the best of both worlds more power then the Stage 2s and less money then the stage 3 238CC injectors.

Agreed turbo (van or BB) and a regulated return is recommended to get the most out of your injectors but a turbo before you get the injectors.

Jeff did you get your RR done?
