Welcome to the forum. The answer depends somewhat on what kind of ride you want and how much money you want to spend. My 48 has a Volare and I like it so much I will be putting a Volare into my 49 also. But, I like a smooth, even a mushy ride more than the stiff original ride. The Volare is also at the lower end as far as costs go. Other popular options include Mustang II, Jag, and Dakota IFS. Some have used subframe grafts from older LTDs. Even the AMC Pacer suspension works well if you can still find one. Give us an idea of how you will be using your truck and what kind of ride you want...
like vern said.. there are lots of options to choose from, i myself have a camaro front end, i believe there are a few others on here with the same. in my opinion the MII would be a good choice, but it all depends on what you want to "do" with your truck. if you were to take it to shows i would get a nice chrome MII IFS. if you were just going to drive it everyday i would just find the first thing that works... volare, MII, dakota, whatever pops up lol.
oh, u have a F1 not f100
If I was installing a new front end to one of my trucks I would check into the Jaguar front end. The way it looks it's pretty much a bolt in unit.
Since you don't have enough posts to use the search option of this board, not that it works all the great anyways, you can find everything you need to know about front end updates that has been posted by using Google:
