Has Juan come up with a source for the narrow 22.5 rims, or are you going with the new 19.5s? If he's found a source, what width are they? And if 22.5s, are they new wheels complete, or remanufactured with new rims/old centers?
I know it's expensive, but having peace-of-mind is hard to put a price on.

I'm going with remanufactured with new rims/old centers. I'm not sure where he found the 22.5 x 6.25 at, but he sourced 6. This really seemed like the only good option, and you are right safety is always worth the cost.

Thanks, I was hoping he'd found a reliable steady source of the rims. What you describe is I guess similar to what he told me last year. Making them isn't the problem, finding the narrow rims is the hard part.

Got my new wheels back from the power coater, they turned out well. Had a question though. Four of the wheels have a groove in the hand hole. And they are rough. I don't have my truck here with me, is this for the valve stem on the rears?

Great looking wheels. Nice job. It sure looks like a good weld job on the seam too. I'm really glad they have found a source, even if it's a limited source, for the 6.75" wide rims.
The notch is obviously left from the old widow maker's tube value stem location. I doubt it's much use now unless if lines up with the value stem hole on the new tubeless rim.
