i'm 15 years old and i have a 92 ford bronco that i took off my parent's hands like six months ago. it has the 5.8 and an automatic and was blacked out from the factory but it is in white primer right now. so far i have done a mini restoration on the interior and have lightning white faced gauges and hvac control face and clear lenses and euro tails. i plan to add a 393 stroker kit with track heat heads, mass air conversion, performer rpm intake and a big cam with no boost or nitrous and i am planning to have like 600hp. i have a question, has anyone ever heard of a bronco/lightning hybrid or a lowered bronco? later i plan to get a set of 18" 99-00 lightning rims with 13" brakes up front and 12" in the back with hardened axles and a mustang posi with 3.73's and carbon fiber driveshafts. i plan to keep the four wheel drive and have a k bar s roll bar and fiberglass hood with hood pins and stock style fiberglass fenders.
As a 393 owner, I want to know how you plan to get 600 hp out of the motor! Details!!
There are several Broncos with Lightning drivelines in them out there. But I've never seen one with the wheels. Where do you plan on getting those brakes?

i am being optomistic with the 600hp figure. should i go with the track heats or the new street heats? what are the specs for the street heats? i plan to get the front brakes custom made by baer and the rear from stainless steel brakes. i would also like to put in a five speed tremec with the stock style shifter. i think it would look sweet.
There's something you need to think about regarding the wheels. Your Bronco has a 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern. The Lightning wheels are a 5 on 135mm hubcentric design. You can probably adapt them...I don't know. Just something to think about.
AFS Wheels (www.afswheels.com) makes Gen 2 style wheels with the correct 5x5.5 bolt spacing and hub diameter, plus the correct backspacing and offset for the earlier F-150s and Broncos. I've seen them on Gen 1 Lightnings with 315 section width tires and they look REALLY good over disc brakes.
Central Coast Mustang makes a KILLER disc brake conversion (NASCAR Wilwood 6 piston front calipers and 12" rotors, 4 piston rear calipers and 11" rotors), but it'll set you back about $4K and they'll need a set of axles and spindles. BUT those brakes stopped a Gen 1 Lightning repeatedly from 60 in 110 ft and had a best stop of 101 ft. That Porsche drafting you on the track would become a hitch ornament...
The problem with the "Heat" heads (and the other track versions) is the raised exhaust ports. That'll require a set of custom headers which will set you back at least $800. I'm getting ready to put a set of AFR 185cc heads on mine since they've produced some impressive results in the various mags on the stroked Windsors and won't require the expensive and non-CARB-legal headers.
