IF I had a high rear 2.75, I might be able to pull 14ish.. but it'll feel like no guts at the light. I WISH there was an overdrive choice for the BB.
you CAN do an AOD, or 700-r4/4l60 with an adapter (another $800).
the E4OD is junk they say.. unreliable, hard to get built right. expensive to build right.

Personally, thinking back, I might have done a 351W, AOD with my 3.55.
but the BB sure looks nice in there now!..

Hey Sam, have you not driven your truck enough yet to check mpg's? As far as the E4OD's go, my '95 F150 has one with 216,000 miles on it with nothing done to it all. Its behind a 351W and it does great. I too heard that they were junk, but so far mine is good. If it does go bad, I'll go back with a C6 in it. I havent commited to this engine yet, but it does sound doable to me so far?

actually the heads were quite different between the 2bbl and 4bbl 351C engines. the true 4bbl heads had larger intake and exhaust ports, larger valves and the early heads had smaller chambers (the so called quench heads) than the 2bbl heads. they make specific 4bbl intakes to mate to the 2bbl heads but a factory 4bbl intake will work but the ports will be very mis-matched.

Hey guys, little bro went to look at then engine and said that it says D0VE 6 on the heads. He's not sure about the 6, but is for sure about the D0VE part. Didnt you guys say that them were the heads to have? I think that I'll buy it even if I dont use it now.
