390 Oil Pan Question
I'm putting a 390 in my 76' F250 where a 360 origionally was and need a new oil pan. To the best of my knowledge, 390's used a front sump pan because they were put in 4x2's. Mine is a 4x4, is there any reason why I should use a front sump vs a rear sump? I'm having a diffucult time finding a rear sump.

C7TZ-6675-E .. 352/360 4WD Oil Pan / Obsolete
C7TZ-6675-E replaced: C6TZ-6675-B & -E / C7TZ-6675-C.
No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any. It may be reproduced, but by whom, I dunno.
C7TZ-6675-E fits: 1966 F100 352 4WD only (not 1966 F250 4WD) / 1967 F100/250 352 4WD / 1968/76 F100/250 360 4WD.
The same oil pan gasket fits ALL 1965/76 352/360/390 engines, so this pan bolts right on.
1968/76 360/390's use the same engine block, only the crank, rods and pistons are different.
390's were not factory installed in 4WD's.
Contact FTE member camperspecial65 (posts in the 1961/66 forum). He lives in your area, and hits all the junkyards. He may know where to find the pan.
