Hey guys, I'm so sorry that I havent been on much, but we've been BUSY at the shops lately. All that aside, a guy came in to our shop and asked about how to find a '51 (he thinks) F1 truck. His grandfather had one and this guy loved it. So he is looking for a good builder. He is probably goin to put it back mostly original, so he's looking for a real decent mostly all there truck. I sent him the link to this site, and he said he'd probably join us over here. He said he had a pic somehwere and was goin to look it up and post it when he found it and all. As I said, he's not sure of the year, but from what he described to me, it sounded to be a '51. So anyone know of a good builder? The guy lives in Lexington,KY
There was a post earlier this evening about a 52 "Extra Cab" on e-bay. It's a nice looking truck and has many of the Extra Options - but not all of them. YOumight have him look there - it was a nice looking truck with less than 6K Original miles supposedly. It's item # 140316329955.
51 and 52 were virtually the same when powered by the 239V8. For 6s, the IL6 in the 51 was a flathead (223) and in the 52 was Fords first OHV6 - the 215. Other than that only the side side hood trim, hose emblem and word "FORD" on the upper valance, were different.

THANKS!!
when you have an item number, all you have to do is put it in the Ebay Motors search box, and press Search. You SHOULD be taken directly to that items page.
Thanks guys/gal. Yall know that I'm a techtard, I spend more time in the shop than I do on this stupid thing so I dont know as much as I should. I'll send my buddy the link.
That truck is far from an untouched original, it looks to be like an older partial restoration. And it can't be a real five star cab because it doesn't have the arm rests, or the door panels on which a five star cabs had on them. To many inconsistencies between the pictures and the description, someone has no idea what they really have. And the price? I don't think so!
Oh that ones got some cancer....look at teh front fender seams between upper and lower.
I'm right on the same page with flatheadjohn, the partial Extra Cab options on it are easily added. But I'd definately be checking the Frame for the serial number on this one. Cab and the rest don't match. They didn't say in the add that they were the original owners, so maybe they are just repeating what they were told, or what a relative told them.
But, it could be fun for someone who might not be as nuts about rust, grease and Fordomite as us!
oh yeah i seen that rust julie... did you notice that theres only like one pic where you can see it. its almost like he purposely took the pics bad and cut out the front fender to avoid showing that rust(that he said doesnt exist lol)
i wonder if it really has 105,756 miles on it? hmmmm
and did those trucks come with two snow tires on the back and two regular tires on the front? he said that they are all 4 original tires?!! i dont think so.
