I have just the replacement filter. Did S&B come out with a new box CAI or just the old one that is open style like K&N?

i'm not sure what the old style looks like but mine came with a new intake tube, a open box (they call it a heat sheild). its somewhat sealed. theres a 1" gap on the fender side. i might make a bracket to move it closer to the fender and aim the filter towards the grill a little more. right now its aimed more towards the back of the headlight. are you happy with yours?

I have just the replacement filter, not the whole CAI. Is this like yours?

I have one on my truck that I got from Mike. It was a pretty breazy install. I little tricky to line up for clearance on the canister by the fender but if you mount loose and fit everything up you should be fine. Also they say to remove the TB cover but I left mine on. I like to have it for protection of the linkage etc. from dirt and whatever else might end up in there.

thanks Craig and Ed for posting. The intake from SB is very functional and economical for those who want an intake on their V10.

i ran into the same thing with the canister. i ran out of daylight, so i'll fine tune it in a day or so. i also agree with leaving the tb cover on.

mike, thanks again. finding a company that does what it says is good thing. the tuner and airbox are working great together.

Does the S&B airbox mount the MAF upside down like the K&N FIPK? The only thing I don't like about my FIPK is the MAF being bolted on the underside which makes it a pain to remove for cleaning. I think I'm going to machine an adapter to flip the MAF around.
