white smoke bomb

got this 7.3 running had been sitting for some time changed the fuel filter put in some new fuel found one bad glow plug and changed that to but this thing still blows a lot of white smoke out of the exaust I know its unburt fuel cause its stinging my eyes like crazy I also tried loosining of each high press injector line one at a time and I can here the eng start to idle worse with each line I loosen the motor starts right up fine when first started and dose not stall any ideas what could be wrong thanx jeff

sounds like a leaking or stuck open injector

thanx I guess I should just take all the injectors out and have them serviced or should I run a cleaner through them first like some thing you dump in the fuel tank ?

Try putting just diesel kleen in the fuel filter and run that threw it. New injectors for these motors arnt to bad. Im sure someone else will have some good ideas too.

Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.

Your problem does sound like leaking injectors.
When you remove them, if the tips are wet with fuel you can skip getting them tested.

With the low cost of new injectors these days, remans or getting yours rebuilt don't make much sense.

Order new injectors and a return line kit, make sure all the copper injector washers come out before installing new ones.

try what matj said or what i do some times is fill the filter half with diesel and the other half with automatic trans fluid and ive also filled the filter full of atf also.
